THE CHANGE

It is frustrating to think you have the real thing and find out that it is nothing but a cheap imitation.

Cheap substitutes can be found in just about everything. These types of alternatives are easily mass produced.
True value is found with the genuine original.

Sometimes it’s hard to distinguish between the two.  The substitute is easier to obtain and can be somewhat satisfying, but it can never compare to the original.
The same is true in spiritual matters as well.🙇🏻🙇🏻
In the church world, we often are content to settle for biblical information alone. This behavior can be a cheap substitute for genuine transformation.

Every congregation must be on guard to ensure that their lives are indeed being changed. The goal is to become like Christ.
Settling for religious information without seeing any transformation is easy.
Transformation does not always take place as people gain spiritual information.
Often times, it seems that churches operate as if they can just teach people the truth, and change will take place.🤷🏻‍♂🤷🏻‍♂

We hope if people attend church and learn the Bible that will make them spiritual.  However, their lives bear little resemblance to one who is becoming more in love with Christ. Nor do they demonstrate a growing appreciation for the souls of others.
Genuine change takes place through spiritual discipline. It also takes place through action.
Healthy relationships can hold us accountable in our walk with the Lord also.
PEOPLE OF GOD,
We must move away from an information model alone.
Just conveying spiritual information is not enough to change lives.  We must move toward a religious change that encourages truths to be lived out in the believer’s life.  The goal of the Holy Spirit is to change lives!
